KENNETH BERNARD
Ocala - Kenneth Bernard Washington was born on January 26, 1956 in Ocala, FL to Phillip Washington, Sr. and Elvira Staley Washington. He transitioned from his earthly journey to the presence of the Lord on Saturday, June 24, 2017.
He attended Marion County Public Schools and graduated from Vanguard High School, Class of 1974.
Kenneth was a member of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church and he served with the Hospitality Ministry until his health began to fail.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory a loving mother, Elvira S. Washington; brother, Phillip Washington, Jr. (Monica); sisters, Sheila Jackson, Carolyn McCorvey (Donald), Debra Howard (Rev. Richard, Sr.); uncles, Paul Davis (Gail), Millard Staley (Doretha), Ashbury Staley, Albert Staley (Debra), Johnny Wilson (Jean); aunts, Mary Elois Willis (Marion), Emily Turner, Mary Rice, Dr. Arlinda Staley-Amos, Gloria Chappell (Gilbert), Carolyn Brown, Christine Washington, Thelma Davis; and of host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held at Clark Funeral Home on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:00 am at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice to Marion County.
