Mrs. Jackson was a wonderful coach, mentor, and teacher. I had the honor of being under her tutelage at North Marion High School. While I never made the basketball team, the resilience and toughness I learn from her has been a life lesson that I carry with me today. She was a blessing to us as ahe pushed us out of our comfort zone and encouraged us to set high standards for every endeavor. Rest in love and power, Ora Lee!

My amazing track Coach, Ms. Ora Lee Jackson. She had a major impact on my life. I remember the first day of track practice in 1983 she was our new coach. I asked her if I could run hurdles and she said if that's what you want to do, do it. That was all the encouragement I needed to pursue my dream. She allow me to do what I enjoyed and to say I was quite good at it. She push me and the team to new heights and we were the team to beat. Her training took me all the way to the High School State Championships and was my ticket to attend college at Bethune-Cookman College (University). She has always been encouraging, supportive and a great mentor in my life. Ms. Jackson always motivated me to continue achieving my goals and never give up. Every time she would see me from 1983 -2019 she would remind me and everyone around us what happened to me at the State track meet in St. Mary. If you were ever around us you heard her story about me. She would never let me forget what happened and she would always have a big laugh. But it always made my day to hear tell my story and see her laugh! My amazing Coach is at peace and resting in God's arms. I love you and you will be greatly missed. Jackson Family, you are in my prayers. Hang in there Tamara, love you guys!

Ora Lee Jackson was an AMAZING woman of honor! She wore many hats...Mother, Godmother, grandmother, sister, friend, aunt, educator, youth mentor, community leader...but the most important hat that she wore proudly was Woman of God! I am SO grateful to have been blessed to share time and space with her during her life journey. I am also honored that she proudly wore the hat of my daughter's Godmother. Prayers and condolences I send to all her family and loved ones. Ora Lee Jackson had truly earned her wings before she transitioned to her new address. The rich legacy that she leaves for all her loved ones is one to be cherished forever!!...TAMARA BAKER-DRAYTON, what an honor it was for you to call her your Mother...My prayers continue for you and your family!

What can I say. A special friend who called me often, who help my grandaughter with scholarship, finances for college. I'm going to miss our phone calls but God called her name and she answered. I'll always hold a place in my heart for Ora Lee Jackson.
To Tamara remember God Is. And she's wearing her crown and she's going to see his face.. Give me a call when you can. Chech her phoneand you'll see my number. Love you Ms. Tyson
