Mrs. Phyllis L. Bressler, 91, of Ocala, FL and formerly of Lebanon, IN, passed away on June 24, 2014.
Mrs. Phyllis Lucille Bressler was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on February 9, 1923, a daughter of the late Fleete and Kathleen (Butler) Stookey. She was raised and educated in Lebanon, Indiana and was a Lebanon High School graduate.
On June 11, 1943, she was married to Ralph W. Bressler, Jr., in Lebanon, Indiana. Mr. Bressler passed away on May 15, 1998.
Phyllis had resided in Lebanon until 1963 when she and her family moved to St. Clair Shores, Michigan. She retired in 1973 from Travelers Insurance Company of Michigan. While in retirement, she and Mr. Bressler lived in Ocala, Florida.
As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she took great pride in her family. She was a former member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha and a member of Christ Church of Marion County. Phyllis was an avid Bridge and card player and active in her church and community.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.
Survivors include, Two Sons, Four Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren Two Brothers and Several Nieces and Nephews Deceased: In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother.
Sadly Phyllis' son, Michael, passed away just three days after her death on June 27, 2014. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans.
