R. PARRISH Obituary
Ocala - Henry Parrish, 62, died peacefully November 6, 2018, after a prolonged illness. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia October 21, 1956, Captain Parrish proudly served the Ocala Police Department for 25 years.
Henry is survived by his devoted wife, Pamela Mathis Parrish; grateful daughters, Kelly Parrish Roe (Jasper) and Marianne Parrish Florian (William); his caring brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Reba Parrish; and big brother, Leo Love.
Henry is preceded by his parents, John 'Jay' and Jane Grogan Parrish; brothers, Jay and David Parrish; and his precious Granny, Mary Winifred Hunt Parrish.
Henry was devoted to his 'girls' and treasured the friendship of Gordon and Peggy Welch and their family. His nieces and nephews and everyone who knew 'Uncle Henry' will remember his funny stories, calm presence, and keen wit. He valued truth and showed us unwavering generosity and courage.
The graveside service, held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, will conclude with full police honors. Arrangements are under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, Florida.

My deepest sympathy to Pam, Marianne, Kelly and the Parrish family at Henry's passing. He was a good example of what a Dad should be to my daughter. She looked up to Uncle Henry and loved him so much. He will be missed but never forgotten. May God comfort all the family in this sad and difficult time.
