Rita Barrows Obituary

BARROWS, RITA MERLET
Rita Merlet Barrows died on January 23 at Long Hill in Edgartown on the island of Martha's Vineyard, MA. She was 92.
In 1990 Rita, at age 73, moved from CA to Ocala. She drove a huge rental truck while wearing a wide-brimmed sun hat and was accompanied by a large teddy bear in the passenger seat. She recalled receiving many friendly waves from passing truckers.

While living in Ocala Rita was a sales representative for a housing development and was also a docent for the Appleton Museum.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Philisse Barrows, her granddaughter Agatha Kerr, her great-granddaughter Anastasia, and her sister Therese McMahon and many loving nieces and nephews.
