ROBERT GREENE Obituary
Ocala - Robert 'Bob' Greene passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2017 surrounded by family and close friends at Ocala Regional Hospital.
Bob was born on September 15, 1944, in Stroudsburg, PA to Clair and Dorothy Greene. There he was an Eagle Scout and a championship basketball player. After graduating high school, he served in the Navy during Vietnam.
In 1981, Bob and his wife Roxana moved from New Jersey to Ocala with their children. Bob worked as a controller at G&S Packing and later Certified Grocers. He then went on to work for OBS and Double Diamond Farms. Finally, he opened his own accounting practice, Bob Greene's Total Accounting.
Bob was very active is his community. He was a Master Mason. He was active in the Ocala Fort King Lion's Club as well as his church, Druid Hills United Methodist. These are just a few of the numerous organizations where he donated his time and talents. Bob was a sweet and generous man. He never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and his community.
Bob is survived by his wife, Roxana Greene; as well as his daughter, Wendy Ramey (Scott); his son, Daryle Greene (Kelly); and his grandsons, Jacob and Coursen Greene.
There will be a viewing at Roberts Funeral Home on August 18, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00PM. The funeral will take place at Druid Hills United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 19, 2017.

I just heard of Bob's passing. I knew him at OBS and just recently my accountant for the past 2 years. Just saw him in June this year and he was in good spirits and looked great - Was so shocked to hear that he was no longer with us . My Deepest sympathy to all of his family.

Bob was a wonderful person i got to know him pretty well in just a few short years. I was honored to serve with him as a Lion and he will be missed by so many people donation made in his honor to vision for Christ a cause he truly loved and supported . He was part of our family here at 17th Street Discount pharmacy. There wasn't a time during his sickness that he wasn't in good spirits, a smile on his face and a new joke to tell. He will be missed dearly!

Still in shock. He was my buddy, my accountant, my breakfast club friend, my closest advisor and he played a mean First Base. I was amazed at how good an athlete he was - but an even better person. I spoke with him just before he went into the hospital. He looked tired, but still smiled and laughed. Loved to hear and tell jokes. I will miss him forever.

Bob was in my life for most of it. He was a kind man that always treated me like family. When you were over his house or at a family get together you could always guarantee hearing a new joke! He will be greatly missed but I'm sure my father and Bob will be swapping jokes and keeping an eye on us from above. Rest in piece.
