To my cousin Sandy,
God brought you to my mind today and I wanted to find you so we could reconnect after many years. How terribly sad to find this news of your son's death.
We will be in Central Fl Feb 10 or 11 and I would love to meet for a cup of coffee if you are available.

Shawn, I knew that losing you was going to hurt, but I never knew how bad nor did I ever expect to so soon. You treated me like your own daughter from the day I met you when I was 10 years old, and you did so much for me out of the goodness of your heart for so many years. I couldn't have asked for a better stepfather or father to my baby sister. You picked me up after my bike crashes, put band-aids on my knees, nursed my sick animals back to health (even when I was an adult!!), and held me when my heart was broken. You were warm, and gentle, and kind, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. You took care and did whatever you could to help EVERYONE in your life-your loving parents, your beautiful daughter you adored, Jamie and I and our kids (you never treated us like stepkids, only like a dad),and you took care of my mom-not only in the years you were together, but the two of you kept a
bond until the end, and seeing you stay good friends all these years always made my heart smile-for it was a way of keeping you close to our lives too. There are countless others-not to mention animals-that you devoted every bit of yourself too. Thinking back now, I kick myself, and think how selfish I was not to be there for YOU more. You never complained, never asked for anything-always had a smile and laugh, no matter how tired or sick you were. You will always live on inside Mandy-you did such a great job with her, and she reminds me so much of you. I pray you're resting easy now, in a beautiful place surrounded by love-if anyone deserves it, it is you. Please look in on me from time to time, and know I look forward to the day I see you once again. I love you goofball, and I miss you so much already. Love, Kat

My sweet sweet sweet Amanda I remember the 1st time I met your father. He had come into Mojos to see you and before you had introduced him to me I saw this man sitting at the front and as I walked up to asked this man if he had been helped. I took one look at him and new right away this was your dad. He was always kind when he would come to see you at work. I know that you were definitely loved by him and I know that he will be missed. I'm glad I got a chance to meet your dad. Amanda I will always be here for you.

My friend, until we meet again. You were one of the good ones, I suppose that is why you left us so soon. I never knew you to be anything but kind. You will be missed.
