Stanley Leavell Obituary

OELWEIN - Stanley Howard Leavell, 73, of Oelwein passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at his home.

Stanley was born on June 10, 1943 in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Johnny and Geneva (Laxton) Leavell. Stanley lived in Sacramento, Calif., and moved to Gerber, Calif., after his wife, Geri died from Alzheimer's. He had spent their last four years taking care of her. From Gerber he moved to Oelwein in 2008. He had been a truck driver for just over 30 years. Stanley enjoyed bull riding and being a cowboy and time with his family, especially his time with his daughter Patsey.
Stanley is survived by his 5 children, Patsey Clouse of Oelwein, Linda (Dave) Hill of Ontario, Ore., Stanley Leavell, Jr. of Wildomar, Calif., Laura Jumpp of Gerber, Calif., and Don (Amy) Santos of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 2 brothers, George (Jeannie) Leavell and Johnny Leavell; a special friend, Rose Marie Long of Sacramento, Calif.; 5 great-grandchildren (and one on the way), 7 stepchildren, 18 step-grandchildren, 28 step-great grandchildren; and his second wife Phyllis Jumpp of Gerber, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Patsy and Judy; his first wife, Sharon and his third wife, Erma "Geri."
