JOHN REMINDER

JOHN REMINDER John Joseph Reminder, known to many as Junglebean, age 72, of West Branch, MI, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 9, 1951, in West Branch, to Leo and Donna (Twining) Reminder. He married Linda Stein in West Branch in 1970. John served in the Army for 2 years during Vietnam. He had a successful career working as a mechanic, welder, and working in the oil fields for Muskegon Development for 37 years, from 1978 to 2016. He was known for his dedication and expertise in his field. In his free time, John enjoyed camping, taking trips to Paquette Lake in Canada, and was a proud member of the 5 Mile Speed Shop Race Team. He also enjoyed spending time in his garage with his friends and family. There were always stories to share when John was around. John is survived by his loving wife, Linda Reminder of West Branch; his mother, Donna Reminder of West Branch; his daughters, Tami (Cres) Hernandez of Saginaw, MI, Kristy (Corey Graveline) Reminder of Bay City, MI, and Kim (Wade) Klann of West Branch; his grandchildren, Stanley (Sadie) Hernandez, Miranda Brown, Alyssa (Taner) Wood, Cres Hernandez, Kortiny Klann, Haley Curtis, Kaytee Klann, and Kooper Klann; his great-grandchildren, Stanley Hernandez Jr., Liam Wood, and Ellianna Hernandez; his brother, Leo (Beth) Reminder of Gladwin; his sister, Jean (Hubert) McDaniel of West Branch; longtime best friend, Tim Turner of West Branch; many in-laws and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Reminder, and brother Carl Reminder. A visitation will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The burial of the ashes will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Ogemaw Springs Cemetery with Veteran Honors. A celebration of life will continue after the burial at their home. Friends and family are invited to honor John's life at the funeral home.
