Born in St. Joseph, Ohio, Mrs. Locher had lived in Tallmadge since 1946. She retired as a teacher from Weaver School. She was also a very active member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Tallmadge, North Hill AARP, and Busy Sunshine Group, past president of Dunbar PTA, Tallmadge Mother Singers, and a volunteer at Heather Knoll Nursing Home for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; parents, George and Louise Schmitt; daughter-in-law, Susan Locher; three brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her sons, Donald A. (Diana) Locher of Springfield Township, George J. (Judy) Locher of Wadsworth, and Thomas F. Locher of Tallmadge; sisters, Louise (David) Goodhart of Suffield and Bernadette (Don) Brown of Springfield Township; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 73 North Ave., Tallmadge, with Rev. Father John Hengle officiating. Interment will be at Tallmadge Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Donovan Bagnoli Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Victory Church.
