Annie M Dirden
Annie M Dirden, 86, went home to be with the Lord on August 19 at home.
She was born in Waynesboro Georgia and had lived in Akron since her early age. She was a member of the First Apostolic Faith Church.
She was preceded in death by husband of 58 years, Herman M. Dirden Sr.; daughter, Barbara D. Mathews; son, Ronald E. Lawson. She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Herman M. Dirden Jr., James C. (Shelene) Dirden, Garry O Dirden; her devoted caregiver, son-in-law, Isaac Mathews; daughter-in-law, Veralyn Lawson; brothers, Kenneth (Phopshorell) Simmons, Julius (Vivian) Fann; grandchildren, Loren (Mark) Cogdil, Mark (Jody) Mathews, James C. Dirden, Dustin A Dirden, Jason L Dirden, Sonya Dirden, LaToya Davis, DeShawn Hill and Kellie Bell; special cousin Annie M Winborne of Washington D.C. and devoted caregiver, Johnnie M Bearden of Chicago Ill.; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 26 at 12 p.m. at the First Apostolic Faith Church where Elder Samuel L. Hampton II will be officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Condolences may be sent to 277 Sojourner Dr., Akron Ohio 44307 where procession will form. Interment Mt. Peace Cemetery.

I cherish the photo of Lamoure and your Mom together! And, I thank you so much for giving it to me during Lamoure's Homegoing Services. You made copies for all of us. THIS IS MY THIRD ATTEMPT AT TRYING TO EXPRESS HOW HEAVY MY HEART IS FOR THE LOST OF THIS WONDERFULL WOMEN. ANNIE MAE WAS NOT ONLY MY FAMILY, NEIGHBOR,BUT MY LOVING FRIEND.SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR ME. WHEN I CAME A MEMBER OF THE FAMILY IN 1969 SHE TRULY TREATED ME LIKE A DAUGHTER. AFTER MY TWO SONS WHERE BORN SHE NEVER MISSED A BIRTHDAY WITH A CARD AND A FEW DOLLARS. I DON;T KNOW IF SHE REALLY KNEW HOW MUCH THAT MET TO THEM AND ME. SHE WAS MY HUSBAND;S FAVORITE COUSIN HE LOVED HER SO MUCH.I LOVED LISTENING TO THEM TALK ABOUT THE THINGS THEY DID TOGETHER WHEN THEY WHERE YOUNGER. YES I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER, HER PHONE CALLS ASKING WHAT I WAS COOKING, OR GIVE HER A GOOD NUMBER FOR THE DAY.
