Mary Smith Obituary
AGE: 69 • West Orange
Mary Ann (Eck) Smith, of West Orange, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at her home. Born in Berwin, IL, she grew up in Chicago and lived in Nutley for 32 years before moving to West Orange 3 years ago. She was a Science Teacher at South Plainfield High School.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Clifford J. Smith; seven children, Clifford Paul Smith & his wife, Keyanna, Monica Rose Smith, Matthew Raymond Smith & his wife, Julietta, Mark Christopher Smith & his wife, Kari, Joseph Michael Smith, Mary Carroll Godoy & her husband Byron and Steven Thomas Smith & his wife, Cristiana. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Massiah, Jacob, Mateo, Martin, Annika, Sophia & Joshua.
The funeral service will be Friday, 10:30 a.m. at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley. The interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mayo Clinic, 200 First St. SW, Rochester, MN 55905.

I am so sorry for your loss. MaryAnn and I go back to Nutley Little League when our boys played at Flora Louden Field. Some of your family attended High School with my children. I remember Cliff, Sr., too. Many happy memories of your family. MRyAnn was a wonderful mother and wife.
