Barbara Taube Obituary

Barbara Taube

Barbara Taube, 72, of Tallmadge, Ohio, passed away on Thursday Oct. 15, 2015 after an arduous 14 year battle with Alzheimer's.

She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana where she graduated from North Central High School and from Butler University with a teaching degree. She had a love of children and taught elementary education for a number of years in California before moving to Ohio where she later became involved in group sales with the Cleveland Force and later with the Cleveland Crunch professional soccer teams.

The many groups that she brought to the games would always greet her with a rousing "Hi Barb" during introductions at the games. Being from Indianapolis nurtured her interest in racing and with her husband's job in Goodyear racing and his personal car hobbies, their life was a car oriented one with a lots of races and lots of travel which she enjoyed. She also had a love of animals and there was not a stray cat that could not find a home with her.

She is survived by John, her husband and companion of 37 years; daughter, Jeanette (Joe) Deltour; and granddaughter, Hanah-Marie Kilchenman.

The family has held a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's honor to the Alzheimer's Association Greater East Ohio Area, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, OH. 44236.

Special thanks also to the staff at Senior Independence Hospice for their support.

We send our deepest sympathy. Barb touched our lives with her kindness, laughter, helpfulness, respect and wonderfully caring attitude. She loved talking about and sharing stories & pictures of her daughter and grandaughter as well as her love, fun and travels with John. May she find peace on her new journey.

Barbara was one of the giants in the Cleveland Crunch front office. She was one of the difference makers in our success story. She was my first employee. She loved people and was a unique sales person. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. Many of us just heard the sad news. I got to know Barb through the Cleveland Crunch years and have so many warm memories of a tremendous person. Barb was always so kind to me and my whole family. It didn't matter who you were, she always treated you as you where someone special. No doubt the good Lord was upstairs awaiting her with open arms, just like she did for so many of us. Barb's smile will carry on in so many of our hearts. Thank you for being a shining star in our lives,

It's been a long Journey but no Journey is too long when you are sitting at the feet of our Creator, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Nothing gave me more satisfaction as to when I could get a smile out of you. Unfortunately our paths crossed nine years into your Alzheimer's struggle but yet somehow I feel you knew I was there. The last Monday we watched over you I couldn't get the smile I selfishly wanted but had the feeling you were beginning your everlasting Journey.I bent down and kissed your forehead and whispered to you that I will Love your Daughter forever and will cherish her. You opened both eyes and looked over at me, that was enough to bring me to tears and I felt you understood and knew you could comfortably continue your journey.
On your passing day , you waited to Jeanette was at your bedside holding your hand and praying with you before you continued on. May you rest in peace and enjoy you new everlasting life.
Love,
Joe
