Blanche Carlin "Dolly"
McDowell, of Pittsburgh, Pa., died Monday, Nov. 29, 2004.
She was the wife of the late Robert L. McDowell; loving mother of Robert (Jennifer) of Mt Lebanon, Pa., Mary Ellen (Thomas) Luby of Akron, Ohio, Carol (Jeffrey) Remenowsky of Cincinnati, Ohio, Elaine (Robert) Sambrookes of Cincinnati, Ohio; loving grandmother of 15: Julia, Sam, and Peter McDow ell; Taylor, Carlin, Callaghan, and Alexandra Luby; Dan, Elyse, and Molly Remenowsky; Con nor, Jake, Chandler, Jordan, and Caleigh Sambrookes.
Dolly was always a source of strength and support to her family and friends, dedicating herself to becoming an ever-better mother, grandmother, friend, and devoted Catholic. She was cherished and deeply loved. She fought courageously against cancer because she wanted to remain with us. Her loving and wonderful good nature will be missed by us all.
Visitation TODAY, 6 to 9 p.m., at William Slater II Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Township; www.wmsla ter.com. Funeral mass Friday, 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Grace Church, 310 Kane Blvd., Scott Township. Memorial contribu tions to Eternal Word Television Network, 5817 Old Leeds Rd., Irondale, Ala. 35210, attention Jennifer Rodriguez.

I am so very sorry that your mom had to leave us. I will always remember her. She was a great friend to my Grandma, Dolores Joyce. She made such an impact on all of our lives.
I will never forget her kisses & hugs. They were genuine.
She is with your Dad now. God Bless her.
