Bruce Woodring Obituary
Bruce G. Woodring, 56, passed away on September 24, 2017 following a brief illness.
A lifetime resident of the Akron area, Bruce was the owner of WTS Transportation Services, LLC. As the drummer for many bands including Memphis Cradle and the Advent Lutheran Church worship band, Bruce's passion for music filled all of our hearts with joy and inspiration. He touched so many lives throughout his life and will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his friends, and his faith. We will always carry his memory in our hearts.
Bruce is survived by his parents, Gloria and Ken Woodring; brother, Paul; and his three children, Esteban, Stephanie and Kenny.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 30th at Advent Lutheran Church, 1516 Edison St. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685, with Pastor Bob Cheyney officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

I knew Bruce thru Debbie Tomlinson. We saw him play with Memphis Cradle a couple of times. Great guy, drummer & friend. I had him on our weekly prayer list at Church of the Open Door in Elyria. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time and may his loving memories live on in your hearts forever.

Bruce has been my best friend, brother and partner in crime for 40 years. We shared so many good times "especially the 68 442" that started it all. Bruce's passion for music, fast cars and laughter seemed to always pick me up and we would always take time to talk. He had determination and integrity for business that Dad had given him. Bruce found time for family and did his best to show his love and pride for the children and what they'd become. Most of all he was grateful for life. We would usually say "it is what it is" and then chuckle. I will miss you!

I have known Bruce over 25 years through work, and he was my go-to guy many times for transportation questions. My husband and I enjoyed many years of dinners during the Christmas season and getting to know Bruce personally. We heard him and his band at a Friday night concert at the Shrine many years ago. He spoke of his kids all the time. He will be missed by many.

Bruce grew up at Trinity United Church of Christ in Akron, Ohio. He was a beloved member of our church family, a great support to his parents, and a wonderful father to his kids. He goes to a better place, but sooner than we would have liked. Prayers are with his family and friends.

Bruce was a friend, band member, and client for 30 years. We shared many discussions about life and faith. He was a hard worker, loved and cared for his mom and dad, and cherished his children. He was passive in nature and a good friend.

Bruce was the most honest, dedicated, and extremely helpful person I have met during my time with my current employer, Trelleborg WHeel Systems.
Bruce was always the go to person that was able to solve problems that other companies could not.
I am proud to have known Bruce over the last few years and will miss him both personally and professionally.
