I met cal in 1977 I believe it was and we traveled the motocross national s while racing for husqvarna , he always had a smile and he was genuine, even if he wasn’t the fastest he was sincere , and he followed his dreams, he stayed at our home on the west coast and I admired his enthusiasm and attitude, no matter 1st or last he was smiling and sincerely appreciated what he had, gave whatever he could, the world needs more winners like cal he was a champion in my eyes,

I have many fond memories of riding our homemade trails and watching Cal race at Smith Road Raceway. Cal was an energetic guy with a great sense of humor. After all these years his "Help" poetry reading, breaking up football practice with his bike, and "Calasaki" class still make me smile. Warmest thoughts and prayers to the Kalicki family.

I saw Calvin many times as we pursued our racing dreams as privateer MXers in the 70's.

I knew Calvin on the National Motocross circuit. He was just a good guy and made the day at the track a great experience with his dedication to the sport he loved and the riders he touched. Ride on moto brother.

I will forever remember going to local races with Cal. He was so turned on by the buzzzz of those bikes! That was his true passion. He allowed me to model his race leathers when he taught his "Calasaki" class in high school on career day - 1976. What a fun-loving guy he was. I will remember him that way forever. I pray you will too.

I'll never forget watching
Cal blow away the field on a 125cc Kawasaki in 1975. I was his mechanic that day. He raced the same bike in three different classes on the same day, the 125, 250, and open class. He won the 125 race and was in the top 5 in both the 250 and open classes. He was one heck of an athlete and a great guy.
