Carole Combs Obituary
Carole Ann Combs, 76, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 20, 2016.
She is survived by her two sons and their families, Cliff (Debbie) Melissa and Scott; Eric (Betsy) Christian, Jeff (Christina), Kristin (Scott) Strayer and their daughter, Callie. She is also survived by her mother, Ann Sherby; brother, Gary (Anita) Sherby; and niece, Christina. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Cliff (March 23, 2016) and father, Michael.
Carole attended Buchtel High School where she met the love of her life, Cliff. They married in 1956 and she was a proud wife and mother. The two of them were inseparable and now are together again.
She deeply loved each and every one of her five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, the sun, beach, and outdoors.
Carole was a loving and generous person who cared more about others than herself. Her family could not have asked for more.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley, where a funeral service will be held Monday, May 2, at 2 p.m. Interment at Copley Cemetery.

It was a pleasure to get to know Carole and to work with Cliff for many years.What an awesome couple and great example they set for their children and grandchildren.It's so hard to say goodbye to people who are that special but it's time to celebrate...Cliff and Carole are together once again.

Dear Cliff and Debbie, and Eric and Betsy, and your families. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will miss Carole. she was a beautiful, friendly and sweet lady. We know she is up there with your dad and looking down with pride the way you are taking care of all of this and each other. May all your good memories help you get through the rough times ahead. RIP together Carole and Cliff.

Cliff and Carole are together again. Rest in peace. My condolences to their family and friends.
I used to work with Cliff at BG Lumber. The loving way he talked about his wife and family showed just how important they were to him.
