Charlene Kibby Obituary

Charlene Kibby, 68, passed away on May 28, 2021. Charlene graduated from East High School in 1971 and The University of Akron with a Masters in Education. She retired from Lake Local Schools after 32 years as a second grade teacher. She is survived by her father, Eugene Kibby; siblings, Becky (Jim) Ferrell and Gene (Laura) Kibby; nieces and nephews, Brenda (Ken Horning) Ferrell, Mike (Julie) Ferrell and Kyle and Holly Kibby; great-nephew, Dalton Ferrell. The family would like to extend special thanks to all of her lifelong friends and especially Sandy Mosses for all she did for Charlene. Visitation from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 3 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron with funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to One of a Kind Pet Rescue Adoption in Charlene's memory.

Every time I saw Charlene, it was with Sandy. Those two were inseparable! Charlene always had a smile on her face and loved kids. She doted on my two boys and would always talk school to me and give me good advice. One of a kind, she is.
