Charles Darke Obituary
CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Charles "Fred" Darke, 88, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 10, 2016 after battling several health challenges in the latter part of his life.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Inurnment will be at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Haven of Rest, 175 E. Market St., Akron, OH, 44308 or Hattie Larlham, 9772 Diagonal Rd., Mantua, OH, 44255. To send condolences or sign the guest book visit www.cliffordshoemaker.com

Many thanks to all of you for your kind and loving words..Fred was my best friend for over 60 years and we almost made it go our 60th anniversary. I miss him already but am happy to know he is now free of pain and resting in God's arms.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire family. I am fortunate enough to have been treated like a daughter by both Fred and Emily for the nearly 40 years as Trish's best friend . I have many great memories of hilarious jokes and teasing ,countless acts of kindness, decades of support and guenuine interest in my life and all those important to me. I am blessed to be a part of a 2nd family that I would be proud to claim as my own. You did a great job with your time here on earth Freddie , you were loved and respected by many and will be missed immensely by all!

Emily, John, Kathy, Susan and Trish, I was deeply saddened to hear of Fred's passing. What a fantastic sense of humor he had, dry to the bone and always made me smile. I know he will be missed by all and the world is a bit dimmer now without him.

I have never met a person happier than Fred. I will miss his laughter and his beautiful smile. My love, thoughts and prayers are with his family. May his laughter be heard by all his friends in "Catholic" heaven.

Fred , What can one say ? He was a great, generous, gentle man. It was always a pleasure to see Fred and Emily the love of his life they always had smiles on their faces ready to face the world togather !!! He will be missed. My heart and Prayers go out to Emile and Laura and family.
