Williams (Lockhart)
MOGADORE- Clara Irene Williams (Lockhart), 83, went home to be with the Lord November 2, 2006.
Born in Parkersburg, W. Va, Clara grew up in Vienna, W. Va, and graduated from Parkersburg High School. Since then she resided in Wadsworth from 1944 to 1962, Elyria through 2001 and most recently in Mogadore. Clara was a loving mother and homemaker. Her most recent church membership was at Mogadore Christian Church and she has been a member of Eastern Star since residing in Wadsworth.
Clara was preceded in death by her mother, Velma C. Ott; brother, Calvin Lockhart; and father, Claude O. Lockhart. She is survived by her husband, Floyd E. Williams, Jr.; sons, Gregory L. (Evelyn) Williams of Elyria, Timothy L. (Teresa Kitson) Williams of Brentwood, Tenn.; daughters, LuWanda C. (Gene) Higgins of Mogadore, June M. Tirpak of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren, Todd (Michelle) Higgins of Mogadore, Kristopher (Carla) of Lakeland, Fla., Chad Higgins of Mogadore, Brett Williams of Toledo, Stacy Williams of Columbus, Ohio, Megan Tirpak, Jessica Tirpak of Raleigh, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Higgins of Mogadore, and Joseph Higgins of Lakeland.
A community memorial service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2 p.m., at Mogadore Christian Church, 106 S. Cleveland Ave., Mogadore, Ohio, with Rev. Harold May officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Mogadore Christian Church and/ or the National Osteoporosis Foundation "Gift in Honor," memorials; 1232 22nd Street, NW Washington, D.C., 20037-1292. The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Rev. May, the Mogadore Christian Church, Mogadore Police Department, Mogadore Fire Department, Staff of Akron General Hospital, Dr. John Petrus and staff, Dr. Michael Smith and Staff, Staff of the Akron General Wellness Center, and staff of the Adult Student Center (KSU) and Kent State University Members.
