Daniel Caskey Obituary
Daniel L. Caskey, 67, loving husband, father and son passed away on June 2, 2017. He was born September 22, 1949 in Akron to Arthur and Lillie Caskey.
He owned and operated the Norton Antique Mall and was an elder of Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ in Wadsworth. He enjoyed breeding and racing thoroughbreds; selling antiques and going to auctions.
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie; brother, Dennis Caskey; and sister, Debra Pallone.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carla; sons, Daniel Jr., Charles; father, Arthur.
Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3250 Greenwich Rd. on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 1 to 3 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ, 2172 S. Medina Line Rd., Wadsworth on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11 a.m., Pastor Keith Hejnal officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to Ralph H. Hruban, M.D. at Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, 600 N. Wolfe Street, Carnegie Building 417, Baltimore, MD 21287, to fund pancreatic cancer research in memory of Daniel. Dear Carla, Danny and Charlie,
Our deepest sympathy to all of you.
Charlie and Danny- as a young woman, I had the pleasure of working with both your mother and your father. He was always upbeat, kind and loving and so proud of both of you and so loving of your mom. The guys in Service and Parts all loved and respected your dad as their manager.
Years later, when I saw him and your mom, he had a smile on his face and we laughed as we remembered the "good old days" when life seemed so much simpler. Truly a great man who will be missed by many.
Dave and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May God bless all of you.
