Daniel Triffun Obituary
He was born on June 20, 1923 in Akron, Ohio. He was proud to have served in the Army during World War II as a paratrooper and medic in the 82nd Airborne Division. He worked as a Machine Shop Supervisor at Portage Machine Shop in Akron for over 40 years and retired from Triple S Machine Shop in 1984. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Serbian Orthodox Church in Norton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Dora Triffun; his wife, Irma; son, Jim; and sisters, Mildred and Sophia Triffun, Olga Lewandowski, and Melina Wilhem.
Daniel is survived by his daughters, Donna (Steve) Kshywonis, Leeann (Steve) Pavkov; brother, Edward (Doris); sisters, Dorothy Kordich and Sophie Jones; grandchildren, Danny (Shannon) Kshywonis, Eric and Daniel Kshywonis, Jenna (Dave) Klaehn, Josh, Carson and Jake Pavkov; and great-grandchildren, Zachary and Natalie Klaehn.
The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Fr. Sorry to see the passing of a dear Friend 0f mine and my Brother Joe Yankulov. Were Joe alive now, surley he would pay his respects and attend. Joe passed in 1982, Danny attinded. I worked at Portage Machine when Dan was there. also attended our Church on Lake St. Dan and Brother Joe enlisted in the Army Paratroopers together. That
in it's self was quit a story at the time. Danny and all the Guys that ran around together were the best groop of friends I ever knew. Many great memories of Danny ,Joe and the others.
