David Clemetson Obituary

David Eugene Clemetson

David Eugene Clemetson, 69, passed away suddenly in his wife's loving arms on April 25, 2016.

David served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was married to the love of his life, Patricia Ann Clemetson, for 38 wonderful years, both living in Akron, Ohio all of their lives.

Together he and his wife raised four devoted and loving children, Carrie Swanson (Eric), Michael Maloy (Robin), Daniel Maloy (Jamie), Timothy Maloy (Carrie). He leaves behind 11 treasured grandchildren, Natalie, Audrey, Conner, Amanda, Courtney, Christopher, Tyler, Timmy, Elizabeth, Carlin, Holden. David also had many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and so many wonderful friends.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Bryan; father, Winslow Perry Clemetson; brother, Earnest Clemetson; son-in-law, Eric Swanson; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Libby McBride; brother-in-law, Dennis McBride.

David served his country in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam war, receiving numerous medals. Following his service in the Army he worked at Town Printing. He then turned his woodworking passion into a business, The Colonial Carpenter. After retiring he adored volunteering his time at St. Thomas Hospital for 10 years.

David will always be remembered for his beautiful smile and his love of life. He was such a humble and kind man.

Fr. David Bline will officiate funeral service 4 p.m. Sunday, May 1 at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd., Fairlawn, OH 44333, where friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Private inurnment at Western Reserve National Cemetery. Donations in memory of David may be made to Debbie's Dream Foundation, 9110 W. State Rd. 84, Davie, FL 33324.
