David Goodhart Obituary
David Arthur Goodhart, 91, passed away peacefully 1-3-2019. The youngest child of Arthur L. Goodhart and Florence E. (Leggett) Goodhart. He was born in Tallmadge 2-19-1927, but spent most of his life in Portage county.
David was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alvin L.; sisters, Alma A, and Grace E. (Ralph) Baldwin.
After graduating from Kent State High School, David entered the Merchant Marine during World War II, then later in the U.S. Army during the Korean Crisis. He spent approximately 30 years at Davey Comp. Co., a field service supervisor for Worthington Service Corp. and in maintenance at Eaton/ St. Gobain.
He leaves his wife, Louise L. (Schmitt) of 70 years; sons, David A. (Terri) Goodhart, Daniel A. (Karla) Goodhart, Dennis A. Goodhart, Jeffrey L Goodhart; daughters, Linda L. Lallathin, and Jill A. (John) Fitzsimmons. David also leaves ten grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Memorial service to be held at a later date.

l am happy to say l have known Dave and Louise and their children for many years. I always enjoyed stopping bye and chit chatting with Dave and Louise.Such kind people. May Dave be at peace now and pain free.l know he had a battle with his health this past year. I know he is in heaven waiting with open arms for his lovely wife.Rest in peace Dave....prayers go out to his family..
