David W. Hackbirth was the beloved husband of Ann K. Hackbirth (nee Shaffer); dear father of Cynthia K. Curtin (G. Mi chael) of Hudson, Ohio and David W. Hackbirth, Jr. (Laurie S.) of Virginia Beach, Va.; dear grandfather of Lauren Eliz abeth Curtin and Michael Peter Curtin, Lily Shiflet Hackbirth and Lexi Hudson Hackbirth; dear brother of Donna Ellis of Winona Lake, Ind., James Hackbirth of Frisco, Texas, Robert Hack birth of Winona Lake, Ind., Ruth Hackbirth Skeel of Winona Lake, Ind., and the late Allen Hackbirth; dear nephew of Iva Hester of Liberty Mills, Ind.
The family prefers that those who wish may make contributions in his name to Akron General Development Foundation for the McDowell Cancer Cen ter, 400 Wabash Ave., Akron, OH 44307 or Hudson Presbyte rian Church, 201 W.
