I worked with Dave at Washington West. I remember his great smile and his wonderful laugh.
Yes he was one of the best teacher. He was always fair with his students. He sure did enjoy what he did. The students enjoyed him.
My heart goes out to the whole Waugh family. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest condolences go out to Shelly and the rest of the Waugh family. Dave and I first met as brothers in Theta Chi and he was so easy to get to know and become close friends with always smiling and laughing. After college I helped him get his job at Mount Snow and we had a lot of fun sharing our mutual love of skiing there. Though time, distance and life got in the way of keeping in touch Facebook made it possible to keep in touch otherwise. This is heartbreaking news. He is gone much too soon and he will be missed. RIP my Brother

Dave "Grubber" was my roommate at SRU and fellow Theta Chi Brother. He was one of a kind. Always positive, always high energy. He was destined to be a Teacher and Coach. He was loved by all and hated by no one. This one really hurts. God bless his family and friends. We will never forget you Brother.

David Waugh affectionately known as "Grubber" was loyal to the core. From what I saw on Facebook over the past few years it was impossible to see how much he loved his family and his students. The world is hurting at his loss. At SRU he was always smiling and just a great person. I love him as a brother. R.I.P. my friend until we meet again at that great big OX House in the sky!

I did K-9 Demos at Conservation Club with Dave for years! My Son Ryan always came with me. Dave always made it fun for the kids, and donned the sleeve to take a bite from my Dog during the demos. The kids loved it. He was always encouraging to Ryan during his High School football years. Dave will be missed, but often thought of too. He was a class act!

I had the privilege of working with Dave early in his educational career. Dave was an outstanding teacher, but more important, he was a remarkable gentleman and respected man. My condolences to Shelley and her family.

Waugh was an awesome guy! As my modified wrestling coach, he pushed us hard but managed to keep things fun at the same time. Whenever I ran into Dave over the years, he was always good for a laugh and super chipper. He will be sorely missed by the entire Portville community.
