Denise was an active member of St.Brigid Parish and I knew her through the volunteer work she did at church. Denise and I saw each other during the parish outings and school activities.
I remember when Denise volunteered to help run the Christmas Bazaar three to four years ago when the former team wanted to resigned the responsibility. Denise volunteered not knowing the full magnitude of work needed to run the bazaar. She was positive and looked forward to doing things to help raise more money for the parish. She thought about adding outside vendor booths to help raise more money for the parish. She was very enthusiastic about the possibilities and wanted to spend time developing vendor booths for St.Brigid's Christmas Bazaar. She had the insight to add vendor booths to the Christmas Bazaar and this eventually happened.
Denise and I both worked in Xenia and occasionally I would see her with co-workers at the local restaurants. She would always take the time to come over, talk about her family, and ask about my daughter who attended St. Brigid School.
The one thing that I will remember most about Denise was her smile. Her smile was heartwarming and contagious. She smiled with her eyes and you could feel the warmth of her while she was talking to you.
David, Reed and Calvin please take comfort and knowing that Denise touched others and that she will be missed. May God bless you and the boys during this difficult time.

David,
You and your boys will be in my prayers. Denise was a very special person. I was glad to have known her and graduated with her from Field High School. I was fortunate to see her recently at our 25th High School Reunion and was saddened to hear of her passing. May God be with you and your boys. God Bless.
