Denny Smith Obituary
Denny Smith, 68, of Akron, passed away June 6, 2017.
Denny was born in Akron, Ohio on November 29, 1948 to the late
Wilma and Cecil Smith. He retired from Goodyear and he was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying hunting, camping and fishing. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing bingo and cards and spending time with family. Denny was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother,
Garry Smith.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 40 years, Janice Smith; son, Michael (Cara) Smith and granddaughter, Josie Smith.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11 a.m.. He will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery.
