RITTMAN Donald S. (Sam) Brit ton, 82, of Rittman, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002 at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital. He was born in Ritt man and was a life resident. He graduated from Rittman High School in 1938 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a retired employee of the Ohio Injector Co. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and en joyed antiques.
Surviving are brother, Richard (Rose) Britton of Rittman; a sister, Pauline Ingham of Oak Lawn, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday. Fr. Philip P. Pritt will officiate with burial in St. Anne Cemetery. A Wake services at 8:30 p.m., Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affili ate, P.O. Box 182039, Dept. 013, Columbus, Ohio 43218-2039. (Gillman, 330-925-2911.)

I was so sorry to read of your loss. Don talked about his family a lot and was very proud of all of you.
I worked in the Loft Gift Shop in Wadsworth and he used to come in and talk and I really enjoyed those times.
I can still hear him say, "well, look who I ran into" when he would see me at a garage sale. We always ended up talking about his dad, his cats and his family.
He was a lovely man and I am so glad I had the privilige of knowing him. The world will be a little colder for him not being here and a little better because he passed this way.
