Donald Harrell Obituary
Donald Paul Harrell, 86, of Staunton, formerly of Penn Laird, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017, at his home.
Mr. Harrell was born August 31, 1931, in North Carolina and was the son of the late Forrest and Anna Hawke Harrell. He was also preceded in death by a son, Paul Harrell. He is survived by his sons, Aaron Harrell, Samson Harrell, Ephraim Harrell and Gabriel Harrell; daughters, Roseanne Harrell, Rebecca Harrell, and Rachel Gioscio; sister, Doris Dailey; and seventeen grandchildren.
Donald served nine years in the Army where he obtained the rank of Sergeant First Class while serving two combat tours during the Korean War as a Tank Operator. He worked as a Union Carpenter for 33 years, before retiring in 1991.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be shared at www.kygers.com.
