Sleep Sweet Big Sister, I am so glad that I got to kiss and hug you before you stepped into the next room of that huge mansion you've spent a lifetime building with and singing for the true love of your life Jesus Christ! How awesome it was to hear you sing "Be at Home" at New Missions and I saw the angels all around you and your spirit was so at home with them. Welcome Home Lovely Lady One Day I'll Hear You Sing That Beautiful Song Again!
Love and Prayers To My Sisters And Brothers Still Here, The Vineyard Still Has Need Of You! May the God of my comfort,comfort you and keep you at peace in this storm and reassure you all that you are indeed loved because He chose to share this beautiful rose with you! The bloom has fallen to the ground but the sweet aroma of her love and the memory of her smile will forever live on in every heart she touched and every ear that ever heard her psalms of love to God!

To the Family;
My heart hurt to hear of Dot's passing. It was a priviledge to serve & know such a beautiful, lovely song-bird. Her memories will stay with me forever.
Family, you are being saddened again so quickly but God knows what he is doing, Just Trust Him. He will take care of the rest of you and get you through this difficult time again.
May God Be With You,

To the family,
I remember hearing her sing when I was a very little girl and it something I will never forget. Some things you here as a child and they stick, well for me it was that beautiful voice. I did not know her personally but I do remeber her sweetness as well as that look of honesty. Some have that look and she did.
Be encouraged family, and know that GOD will see you through.
God Bless

To the entire family of Dot: It sadden our hearts when we recieved the news. Our prayers and sympathy goes out to you. We will always cherish the memories of having the opportunity to appear on many gospel concerts with Dot and the Royal Angelettes in various cities. To: Deannie, Quickie, Duby, Stell, Sonny, Larry Lee, Joe, and Donnie, Dot and I was friends so long you all seem like my family. I know you will miss her, so will I, I'd rather hear Dot sing than anybody, but honestly I think she got Deannie prepared to carry on in her absence. Dot and I had so many good times together, and they overtook the bad ones we shared. Dot has paid a debt that one day each of us must pay. I am happy that her family honored her wish, she told me "Weezie" if I go before you make sure Quickie and Deannie carry out my wish, she did not want to be looked down on, so many years people looked up at her singing, and thats the way she wanted to be remembered, thanks Quickie and Deannie for honoring that wish. Dot you will be missed by many, I no you was tired, and you no what you want be troubled anymore, go on home and get your rest, one day we will meet again. I could write a book, but I will always remember Dot, and Deannie and Quickie if you ever need me, please call, I will miss "Dot" too, We met in the grocery store about a month ago, that was the last hug we shared, but I no through it all we loved each other. Prayer changes things.

"If I had 10,000 tongues I could not praise god enough for what he has done for me".I remember the first time I heard you say that, those words along with a lot of other things that you had to say(because you had a lot)have just brought me through a lot of hard times. Thank you for always encouraging me and having kind words to speak to me. Thank you for letting god use you in a way that you were able to minister to us through music with your powerful voice. Say hello to "Mu" for me. See you when I get there. You will be greatly missed.

To The Family Of Dot
I was shocked to learn of Dot's passing. But to be absent from the bodys is to be present with the Lord. I will always remember the good times we all had here, and in Houston when you all would come to visit. Be encouraged that the Lord does not make mistakes and he needed another voice in his heavenly choir. My prayers are with you always.

Love ,Love,Love. you never know how much you Love someone until they are gone. I didnt always agree with everythng that Aunt Dot said but I understand now that she did have alot of wisdom about her. I did enjoy to hear her sing as alot of people did. she told me skeet just come on over and I can teach you how to sing too. I had the chance to be around my Aunt and seen the Love that she has for my dad and all her other sisters and brothers and I can say she was the link to the chain but that is ok because she gave them strength and the wisdom to carry on just like she did. She never let the devil take her joy and she continued to press her way. Now she is singing directly to the Lord face to face.

To the family of this legend in her own time and way....
In the memory of my mother the Late Carolyn Hawkins Hooks we offer our deepest sympathy. I just believe God called on Dot to sing her part at the rehearsal and it was her time to go. We can't wait to get home to hear those power houses sing again. We will continue to keep your family in our prayers. Don't cry too long we just got another reason to go home.

Auntie Dot was loved by everyone, I have never meet anyone that was as strong willed as Auntie Dot. Aunt Dot was very out spoken and always expressed exactly what was on her mind. Alot of people couldn't understand that. However, over the years as I look back she reminds me so much of myself. My mother would always say that out of all of her kids that my outspokeness reminded her of Auntie Dot. I am honored to be compared to someone that I silently admired so much. auntie Dot I love you, and you will always be in my heart. Thanks for helping to make me into the woman I am today. Love, To you "Emma Jean"

To the family of Dorothy "Dot" Davis: "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of one of His saints." I was sadened to hear the news of the passing of my dear sister. Dot meant a lot to our family and we will never forget the time she spent with us at the passing of our mom. Please remember two things: "Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal" and "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."
