Edna J. Cain, 71, of Barberton, died June 11, 2007 at Barberton Citizens Hospital.
She was born on June 10, 1936 in Sterling to Edward and Barbara (Zollinger) Mathys and graduated from Seville High School in 1954. She attended the University of Akron.
Surviving are her husband, Jimmy D. Cain; daughter, Kathy (Ron) Wigal of Akron; six brothers and three sisters also survive.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman, with Rev. Gerald Compton officiating. Burial will be at the Apostolic Cemetery in Rittman. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Stewart's Caring Place, 2955 W. Market St., Fairlawn, OH 44333. I was so very sorry to learn of Edna's passing. She was quite a lady and a real fighter with this terrible disease. We will miss her and her sense of humor at our support group gatherings at Stewart's Caring Place. She made quite an impression on all of us. Please accept my condolences.
