Mr. Bonebrake was my music teacher at Hemminger Elementary and Innes Junior High schools. He was truly one of a kind, and a wonderful band director. I'm glad he was my teacher. Lillian "Kay" Falconer Esker.

The only band teacher I ever had from Smith School to Inness. After setting music aside for sports, I used to enjoy stopping by and chatting in his driveway on 13th St. he always maintained interest in all the kids he touched. He was a booster of all things Kenmore. He made a difference.

So sorry to hear...Mr Bonebreak was my music teacher at Innes Jr. High, and continued to be a presence in my musical career long afterwards. A phenominal Trumpet player, he was firm and could be caustic, but he loved all his students. Saw him at the Acme on East ave shortly in 2011, and he was frail, but still had a great line when I asked if he were Ed Bonebreak....."Who wants to know" ? RIP
