Edward Frankovich

Edward Frankovich, 87, passed away Aug. 7, 2004.

Edward served in the Army Air Force as a sergeant during World War II in the 384th Bomb Group, 544th squadron in England. He was a member of the Croatian Catholic Union for over 50 years, the American Legion, and St. Paul's Catholic Church in Akron. He retired from the City of Akron Water Department after nearly 30 years of service. Edward was a caring and gener ous man who enjoyed spending time with his family and helping others.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Helen; his daughter, Janet; and sisters, Helen and Barbara. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary; son, Edward; daughters, Elaine (Charles) Twigg and Mary (James) Drain; brother, George (Matilda); granddaughters, Nancy Drain and Debby Young; aunt, Helen Spalding; special cousin and friend, Mary Horning; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Adams-Mason Memorial Chapel, 791 E. Mar ket St., Akron. A Mass of Chris tian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St., Akron. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial con tributions may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church. (Adams-Mason,
