Ellen Baker Obituary
Sr. Ellen Baker, IHM (Sr. Mary Carl) died on September 4, 2007 in Monroe, Michigan and was an IHM Sister for 66 years.
Sister Ellen was a teacher in Michigan, Minnesota, St. Mark School, Cleveland, Ohio, and as a missionary in Africa. She served as Pastoral Minister at St. Cyprian, Riverview and St. Joseph, Trenton, Mich., for 15 years.
She is survived by her sisters, Marilyn Bott and Sister Mildred, IHM; her brother, Vincent and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, Helen and Carl, brothers, Gene and Howard, preceded her in death.
The wake is on Friday, September 7 from 2 to 6:30 p.m. with a remembering at 3 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection is on Saturday, September 8 at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to IHM Retirement Fund, 610 W. Elm, Ave., Monroe, MI 48162-7909.
