Elliot Holmes Obituary
Elliott "Sonny" Holmes, 70 passed away on October 18, 2015. He was born on October 28, 1944 in Birmingham, Alabama.
He is preceded in death
by his mother, Dora McClain and father, William McClain; three
brothers and one sister.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his children, Elliott Twiggs, Kevin Holmes, Elliott Duane Holmes, all of Akron, Ohio, Darnella (David) Rogers of Atlanta, Georgia and Angela Holmes of Akron, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home 1101 Palmetto Ave. Akron, Ohio 44306. Rev. Bruce Lambert Butcher, officiating. Procession will form at 822 Kenyon Street Akron, Ohio 44311 and condolences can be sent to Rhoden Memorial Home.

Niecey, my heart goes out to you and your family. Losing a parent is a hard pill to swallow, but God doesn't make mistakes. He must've been in need of a different kind of Angel. And, know one thing and this is the truth, if he was ill, he suffers no more. If u need an ear, I'm here for u.

Kevin, Toppie and Niecey my condolences to you and your family. Elliott was a good man who loved baseball. I remember him sitting in his chair holding April and fussing at the ball game. My heart goes out to you all and may God comfort you during this difficult time.
