Reverend Shy!!! I met him at 11years old and was taught metaphysics, judo, and life lessons that echo in my life today. This Beautiful Brother has contributed positively to many of us. Reverend Shy, you helped shape my spiritual path, and taught me the power of strong will. I thank the heavens I was blessed enough to be around you and learn at such a special time in my life. I love you, and wish I had been able to see you before you transitioned. May you continue to bless us as a being of violet fire. Ashe

To the Shy Family,
I ask God to comfort you during this celebration of Mr. Shy's homegoing. I'll always remember how we first met in an Amway meeting and I introduced myself as Shirley Shy-not knowing the Shy brothers were in the room. We laughed about that meeting so many times over the years. He taught my grandsons Tai Chi and they so admired him. Our world has been made better because of his presence. His legacy lives on in so many lives.

Reverend, Doctor, Sensai, Master of Tai Chi: Eugene Shy
A man of great distinction who has taught his students the art of self defense, and Tai Chi a gentle way to fight stress.
He gave so much to this community, touching so many lives, being a Union Steward Local 5 negotiation team, working at the BF. Goodrich Company he helped settle so many Rubber contracts, many of the retirees enjoy today.
Leading by example Sen Sai Shy mentored a lot of young men into becoming better men, he was devoted to preaching, and teaching the love of God, postive thinking, and becoming a better you through spirtual guidance.
What we have done for ourselves alone leaves with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal. That is Eugene Shy.
To The Shy Family:
A loved one is a treasure of the heart, and losing a loved one is like losing a piece of yourself. But the love that this person brought you did not leave It is there forever.
MRS. Eva Shy

Grandmaster Professor Eugene Shy, was a humble man he praticiced humilitly of a man who knew the true perspective of life. He lived at peace with his fellow man and withiin himself.
Whether on the mat or in the pulpit he taught all that listen to him. Professor Shy reputation as a psychologist as well as a strong chess champion is well known. He could engage in all combat with a cool mind and a steady hand . What he taught you was a lesson that will pass onto posterity. He always told me that i was a work in progress an that he wasn't finish with me yet. We talked for hours that seem like mintues , because you never wanted to hang-up , or say goodbye because of all the wisdom and knowledge he was giving out.
He taught me judo waza and i in turn was bless to share my knowledge of Shorin-Ryu waza to his class going back-an-forth to Warren, ohio every other week back in the 70's ,we would share techniqes and grow together in the martial arts . I started a school in 1968 in warren . Keno's is one of the oldest martial arts school in the country and thanks to Professor Shy's and under his leadership turnout local, state and national champions in judo and karate . We worked on our japanese together not only understanding meaning , but also learn how to spell the words correctly . always finishing up and "getting it right". I'll finish up by saying my mentor " Every close eye ain't sleep and every goodbye ain't gone" Oyasumi Nasai my sensei, arigato gozaimasu.
My condolence to Grandmaster Professor Eugene Shy/Wife and family.

Eugene Shy was like a Father to me. I've known Rev. Shy since the day I was born. I know for certain that I would not be the man (mind) I am today without the spiritual I AM awareness I have obtained throughout the years. Even though Shy's physical is no longer with us, I know his spirit will live on forever. Rev. Shy ordained me as a minister in 2011 and I know that I have a job to uphold while here on Earth. Shy you will truly be missed. I thank God sincerely for being able to meet you and to be able to learn the I AM awareness you studied for years to attain. With much unconditional love,
