Evelyn Homonai Obituary
Evelyn R. Homonai, 81, of Wadsworth, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017.
Evelyn was born October 15, 1935 in Sharon Center to the late Edward and Hazel Bird. She married the late Joe E. Homonai on June 25, 1955 at St. Paul Evangelical Church in Sharon Center and later became a member of First Christian Church in Wadsworth. They had 65 wonderful years together before Joe's death on October 25, 2011. She was retired from the Wadsworth City Schools where she was a bus driver for many years and was a former employee of Dress Brothers.
She loved her family, her church, camping, traveling and her many friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her sisters, Wanda Sanders, Irene Grindle, Esta Shultzman, and Cecil Wolf; and her brother, Ed Bird Jr.
She is survived by daughters, Carol (Ed) Dalessandro and Debbie Parker; sons, Jeff (Sheryl) Homonai and Kevin (Kelly) Homonai. There are 10 grandchildren: Ryan (Jennifer) Dalessandro, Jill Dalessandro, Laurie (Eric) Krizay, Kate, Aaron and Kacy Homonai, Julie (Ken) Humberson, Kurt (Mary) Parker, Megan and Courtney Homonai; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Lois Morrison; her brother-in-law, Joe Wetshtein and sister-in-law, Mona Homonai.
The family would like to thank the staff at Liberty Residence for their loving care.
The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at First Christian Church, 116 E. Boyer St., Wadsworth. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Evelyn was a great friend as was her sister Esta. We drove bus together for many years. She was fun and always smiling. Her students loved her!
She will be missed and remembered by many friends and family.

Ed, my mother lived at the residence with your mother in law. Evelyn always spoke to me when I was visiting. She was quite a characer and kept the residence lively! She will be missed for sure. Lorrie Graham (an old Wayne College co worker)
