Francis "Gene" Kerrigan, 75, of Akron, passed away December 13, 2008.
He was born on January 4, 1933 in Cambridge, Ohio.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his brother, Paul.
He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving in Korea. Gene was a retired machinist, and an avid golfer. His wit and wonderful sense of humor will be missed.
Per Gene's request, there will be no services. Interment has taken place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
Special thanks to the staff at Canal Point for their loving care and support of Gene since 2002.

I have hundreds of photos and memories of Pa-Pa (Gene). He was one of the funniest people in my life. He taught me a lot about life. I will miss him and think of him every time I use one of his many catch phrases. "Food. My favorite dish."
