Frederick B. O'Leary

AKRON Frederick B. O'Leary, 84, passed away Dec. 15, 2002.

Mr. O'Leary was born July 5, 1918 in Akron. He was a lifelong resident of the Akron area, worked as a semi truck mechanic, and a mem ber of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was a Marine Veteran of World War II. He served as coach and board member for the Kiwanis North Akron Hot Stove Baseball League. Fred was a member of the Knights of Columbus and donated over 10 gallons of blood to the Red Cross. He was involved with the CYO Daycare, enjoyed camping, and walked and exercised at the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Clara Zimmer man O'Leary; wife, JoAnna Blake O'Leary; daughter, Kathleen; sisters, Margaret, Mary, Mildred, and Catherine; brothers, Dick and Bud dy. He is survived by daughters, Sandy (Ron) McGarr of Cuyahoga Falls and Peggy (Rich) Lewis of Akron; son, Pat (Darlene) O'Leary of Tallmadge; sister, Ruth (Bill) Winters of Chicago; grandchildren, Debby, Rick, Ronny, Andy, Shawn, Kimberly and Kevin; great-grand children, Christopher, Adam, Aaron, Sebastian, Trent, Andy, Krysta and Victoria Michelle.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002 at Hennessy-Bagnoli Funeral Home, 936 N. Main St., Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m., Thursday, at St. Antho ny Catholic Church. Fr. Jim Ragnoni will officiate. Burial will take place in Oakwood Cemetery.
