Garland Wimberly Obituary
Garland Wimberly, 47, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 20, 2016.
He was born in Akron, Ohio, on February 4, 1969, to Thomas and Galdys Wimberly.
Garland attended Akron Public Schools, graduating from Buchtel High School. He continued his education at Ashworth College receiving his associate of applied science with a concentration in Business Management. He had many hobbies that he loved; specifically he loved to write songs and rap. Music was something that he really enjoyed.
Garland was gainfully employed with Kroger working five years in the sales department. He always made everyone laugh, with his witty sense of humor. Garland loved to watch football supporting his team the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed basketball as well.
Garland was preceded in death by father, Thomas Wimberly; grandmothers, Lillian Wimberly and Virginia Brunson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Tatum and Tanyia Wimberly; mother, Gladys Wimberly; his brothers, Aaron Wimberly, Thomas (Butch) Wimberly, James Mcvay; sisters, Brandi, Serita, Demitrius, Debbie, Darlene, Tracey and Joannie; sisters-in-law, Patricia Wimberly, Carmen Mcvay; aunts, Ethel Bruson, Ertha Miller, Anne Garrett, Mary Brunson, Janet Brunson, Latisha Brunson; uncles, Willie (Alice) Brunson, Sunny (Dorothy) Brunson; nieces, Destiny Wimberly, Alaysha Wimberly, Ashley Clark, Patricia Mack, Nandi Mcvay; nephews, Paul Mack; best friend, Tim Bushner, Shirliegh, Anthony, Makeba; and a host of cousins.
Celebration Of Life will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 12 Noon at Macedonia Baptist Church, 940 McKinley Ave., Akron, OH 44306, Pastor Lorenzo Glenn officiating. Interment at Glendale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church from 11 a.m. until time of service. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1204 Greenwood Ave., Akron, OH 44320.

i still expect to see you when I walk in the store; I cannot believe YOU are gone; I got to tell you a few things but not everything that I should have. Though we all would like to have you here with that much adorned smile that (I told you) made my day, the reality is God loved you more and wanted you with him and you had to go. You did something that no one else could-and I tell everybody that and thank you for it too. Just wish I would've told you.I'll miss you greatly!
