Gary Tultz Obituary
ALS lost its battle against Gary on Saturday, November 2, 2013.
During his illness, his passion for life and sense of humor never wavered.
He was preceded in death by the woman he adored who was also the love of his life and wife, Eldora (Gowin) Tultz; infant son, Gary; parents, Anne and John Tultz. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Monte) Burton; son, Ed Tultz; grandchildren, Joe Niedert, Ross (Breea) Neidert; great-grandchildren, Winter, Cole, and Michael; sisters, Mary Clark and Sharon (Denny) Bloomer; brother, John Tultz.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Summa Hospice staff and a very special thanks to Jennifer Bheam without whose help we would have been lost. Words could never begin to express our appreciation.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, November 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Please join the family for a gathering on Friday evening at the Hibernian Club, 2000 Brown St., Akron. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gary Tultz Memorial Fund at Charter One Bank, Acme - Ellet or any Charter One Branch. ALS lost its battle against Gary Tultz... That's the truth, and I love that ALS lost! I only knew Gary for a short time before he got the 'cold/throat' problem that he couldn't shake. But during that time, he talked so much about the love of his life - his wife, Eldora. He talked about how strong she was, how much he missed her. I saw pictures of her - recent and sorta recent. I heard all about his kids - including his DIL, Jen, and his old friends who flew model airplanes. I was lucky enough to see some of the custom planes he still had. I saw past homes and met recent friends... But I can say unequivocally, I was so very fortunate to meet Gary. And through him, his family shone, and his face lit up in talking about them. I envy them and am glad I knew Gary for even a little while. My sympathies go to his family, but I'm glad for Gary that he's free to be with his beloved, beautiful wife and baby son again.

Lisa & Eddie,
It's the little things, the small, everyday things that you'll remember. The lessons he taught you, the laughs you had together, the stories and the smiles. It will be these very memories that will help push the pain away and bring back the smiles.
I will remember Uncle Gary for many thing, his great courage, his love for all animals, his humor, but mostly for his everlasting love for Aunt Eldora and the two of you.
