George Platis Obituary
George Thomas Platis, 58, passed away peacefully in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on May, 20, 2014.
Born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, George pursued life with a fiery passion. He was a gifted artist as witnessed by his many paintings and sketches. He lived most of his life on the west coast, where he was also a model and part-time actor. He loved the ocean and being outdoors. To truly know George was to love him. His quick wit and unique charm will be forever missed.
George was preceded in death by his mother, Marylin Becherer Platis; and his father, George J. Platis. He is survived by brothers, James, Gary, Gregory, Christopher (Michele); and sister, Jeannie (Tony) Roos.
Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held in July. A website featuring his artwork (www.georgeplatis.com) will be available after July, 1, 2014.

I am so sorry for your loss. George and I became friends in 1973 and he was such a fun loving, caring person. His farm art and cows were always amazing. He truly will be missed. May God Bless You All, Renee Ripellino Merullo
