Harry Rooks Obituary
NORTON -- Harry D. Rooks, age 69, passed away September 24, 2016.
Born on July 24, 1947 in Kistler, W. Va. to the late Eugene and Bonnie (Spears) Rooks, he was a resident of Norton. Harry was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam, and loved to be outdoors working in his garden or fishing.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Adam "Dick" and Danny L. Rooks, he is survived by his brothers, Kenneth, Robert, and Jackie Rooks, all of Norton; sisters, Mary Darlene Hitchings and Jane (Johnny) Damron of Akron; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, 3819 Johnson Rd., Norton, 44203, with Pastor Cecil Farmer officiating. Inurnment to take place in Kentucky at a later date.
