Helen Rech Obituary

Helen R. Rech, 90, passed away July 15, 2012 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She was born in Kenmore, Ohio on November 17, 1921.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty nine years, Kenneth L. Rech (2002) and her siblings, Margaret, Robert, Mildred, Doris, and Effie. Helen is survived by her children, Nancy Dye Molinar (Oscar) of Odessa, Texas, Janice K. Purk (James) of Mansfield, Pa., Kenneth R. Rech (Trudy) of Naples, Fla., Ronald R. Rech of Ft. Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Lee Ann Steindl (Robert) of Oberlin, Ohio, Heather K. Purk of Ashburn, Va., and Veronica Dye Johnson (Jeff) of Odessa, Texas; 4 great grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.

Helen spent most of her life in Akron, Ohio as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook and was famous for great pies. Helen was active in the Akron area University Women's Club and multiple Bridge groups. She completed her B.S. in Education at Kent State in 1971, returning to school years after receiving her teaching certificate in the 1940's. After the death of her husband, she left Akron and lived in Odessa, Texas, Villa Rica, Ga., and settled in Fort Worth, Texas. Helen was an active reader spending hours lost in books usually while enjoying the sun. She enjoyed playing Bridge and time with her family.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 24, at 10:30 a.m., at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. In lieu of flowers or a memorial gift please share memories.
