Howard E. Jones, 85, passed away Sept. 23, 2008.
Born in Mineral Ridge, Ohio, Howard had lived in the Akron area since 1951. He retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. with 33 years of service and was a member of Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church and the Goodyear 25 Year Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lurlene Jones. He is survived by his half-sister, Gladys Calhoun; extended family, Mark and Kathy Hughes and their children; Joyce Horne; nieces, cousins, and many good friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2008 at the DONOVAN BAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, 339 SOUTHWEST AVE., TALLMADGE, with Rev. J. Christy Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday and the funeral home. In lieu of other remembrances, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333.
