Jim made his peaceful transition with his loving wife Kathy by his side, on Sept. 6, 2008.
Time and place for a memorial gathering will be announced at a later date, and is in lieu of calling hours and services.
Because of Jim's love of nature, contributions to the Jim Dudek Memorial Fund, c/o First Merit Bank, 1310 Sharon-Copley Rd., Sharon Center, OH 44274, will help create a memorial garden to honor Jim's love for and dedication to his community and will be for all to enjoy.

I too miss the walks through the property as a family and making random phone calls in desperation for cooking advice! I will always hold these and many more memories close to my heart.

Some of the best memories we have as Jpa's grandkids are our walks with JPa and Jack around the property discovering and investigating nature!
We love you JPa and will always look at pictures and remember.

If I could walk right up to Heaven, I would bring you home again. Proud memories from the day you were born and all your many kind deeds and accomplishments help me, as you always did. I miss you so much. Mom

Jim was dedicated to serving his community. In addition to his job as a trustee for Sharon Township, he formerly served as deputy auditor for the Medina County Auditor's Office. Jim also served on the Medina County Planning Commission for 10 years.
As a tribute to Jim's love of nature, he will be remembered by a memorial garden in Sharon Center designed by his wife,Kathy, and his sister,Susan.
Jim was a 20 year veteran of the Sharon Township Board of Trustees. This photo shows Jim taking his oath of office in November 2007.

Rob and I are always reminded of Jim's thoughtfullness and caring ways, but especially about his great cooking.
He LOVED to cook. We'll never forget one particular family Christmas we spent together in Sharon Center, when Jim made Polish kielbasa from scratch. What a treat! The best we have ever tasted!
Hold tight to memories for comfort, Kath, and always remember how much we love you.
In the words of Kahlil Gibran-
"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."

I am a vendor and met Jim over a year ago. He always had a kind smile, a helpful hand, and went out of his way to help others. I saw him one time after his hospital stay, and sad to say it was my last. He is in peace now, and I'm sure smiling down on all of us today! What a great man! What a great memory I'll always have of him.

I met Jim in May of this year. He was one of the best fellas I ever dealt with. He went out of his way to help me and seemed to do with a natural easy going way.
I called him on his cell to thank him. He told me he was in the hospital. We have had Jim in our prayers at church ever since.
This is one of the people I wish I had met years ago and could have had as a friend.
