Janet Reichert-Aguirre Obituary
Janet L. Reichert-Aguirre, 76, passed away December 6, 2014.
She was born June 15, 1938 in Akron, Ohio to the late Kenneth and Elizabeth Hull. She was the Program Director at the Firestone Park YMCA for many years and truly enjoyed working with and helping the children.
Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Gary and sister-in-law, Sally Hull. She is survived by her son, Richard (Brenda) Reichert, Jr.; daughter, Jacqui Reichert; grandchildren, Erin and Eric Reichert; brother, Earl "Jim" (Virginia) Hull; sister, Leslie (Don) Dague; stepsons, Gene (Sue) and Michael Aguirre; stepdaughter, Michelle Aguirre; stepgrandchildren, Brian and Miranda; nieces and nephews, Jim Scott, David "Pike", Lisa and Amanda; and cousin, Ruth Jones.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319 (SR 619), with Pastor Darryl Moulder officiating. Family and friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mt. Peace Cemetery. So many memories. From Indian Maidens to New Years Eve parties to Birthday Club. We had so much fun. One of my best memories was when my furnace broke down and Jan broke into my house to have a furnace man fix it. Her kindness was unparalleled. Jan was always ready for a good time and nothing could stop her. I will miss my dear friend. I hope Jan and Sandy are celebrating their reunion.

Rick, Jacqui, Earl...she was one of a kind. Always had a smile and laugh even when not feeling well. Spent lots of time as chaperones with GHS Band. Such fond memories. Those were the days. Remember the lists of to do things on her kitchen counter? She could always pull out the correct one. And all the apples stored in her garage. She was my seat mate on the Kings Island bus trip. We were scared out of our wits with the crazy fast driving of the bus driver. She just laughed. The year my parents went to Hawaii for Christmas she opened her home and table to us for dinner. A real friend and generous hostess.
Friends remembered are never forgotten.

My condolences to all of Jan's family. I had met Jan many years ago through my cousin Michele Nichols. All of us would go to Cleveland for plays and musicals. Jan was always a sweetheart and had a great sense of humor. She will be missed by many.
