He was born in Graves, Kentucky, the son of D. B. and Louvada (Rogers) Chapman. He had retired from Goodyear Aerospace.
J. B. is survived by his wife, Ginger; daughter, Darlene (Michael) Sells; son, Delmas Chapman; and many grandchildren.
Friends may call Friday, June 24, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Adams Mason Funeral Home, 791 E. Market Street, Akron. Burial will be at Hillside Memorial Park. (ADAMS MASON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 330-535-9186)

JB, We watched you cry we cried with you, we watched you laugh we laughed with you, we had to sit back and watch you cry many times for people that was no longer in your life , we got the pleasure of hearing all your story's of the good old days we spent the last four Christmases Easter's thanksgiving's fathers day's and even most of your birthdays together in our home, you have always told us and many others that we was your family.And we know in our heart's that you knew we thought of you as our family too you are greatly missed love the Smith family
