Jessica Thompson Obituary
She was a lifetime resident of this community and had been employed as a Home Health Aide. She was a Joy and a pleasure to be around. Her smile could light up a room.
She leaves behind, fiance of 12 years, Ihmaud Carter; daughters, Mickayla, Leah and Trinity; mother, Tami (Ray) Ribera; father, Rick (Helen) Thompson; sisters, Alishsa and Ashley Thompson; grandmothers, Ruby Bittinger and Jean Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held Monday, January 28, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., with Pastor Earl Thomas officiating. Friends may call at the chapel on Monday from 12 noon until time of service. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 1141 Johnland Ave., Akron 44305. Our beautiful baby girl. I feel I was so blessed and loved for you to have been in my life and had my middle name. I will always remember all the wonderful times we spent together as you grew up, our families and yours. Who could ask for a better niece smiles and happy all the time. I have sooo many memories of you my baby girl. Sorry about the arm! We sure had fun the night we went out together it will forever be with me as I am sorry to say it was the last time we were together. I love you so much as I love your Mom my best friend. I will miss you. I know you are with your Grandad, Paul and Jenny but I also know my Dad and Eddie will be checking on you too. They will want to see you too as they also loved you as everyone does. Rick and Tami Alishsa, Ashely and girls I love you and am here for you forever. Remember what we said Ashley and Alishsa. I love you all. Bob and I will be praying for you all.

Jessica was a great friend. She could cheer anyone up on the worst of days. One of my greates memories, dancing and singing kareoke into spoons in her living room. Our deepest sympathies and prayers for Ihmaud and the girls. Keep your heads held high as she would want the four of you to do. I had the great pleasure of getting to know all of you years ago through your (Mom, sister)and I'm so happy about that. I love all of you as I did your Mom. I have very fond and fun memories of all of you. I was always so happy to when I would get to see all of you. There was never a time that your Mom would ever leave our visit that she didn't hug me strong and tell me she loved me. She was an amazing women. My deepest sympathy to the entire family. I have only been in touch with Alisha,somewhat lately, but I remember all three girls very well. All wonderful beautiful kids playing school or some other childish games. Usually Val or Jessica was the teacher. I hope everyone can find the strength to go on, as Jessica would want you to. I have had the honor of knowing Jessica and her family for over 30yrs.
I have wonderful memories of Jessica and her sisters grwoing up, watching them turn into teenagers and then adults.
What I will remember the most is Jessica's smile.
She left us way to soon, my heart breaks for her family.
I am so grateful that I was a part of her and her families life.

Jessica was my best friend. She was one of a kind.....i'll prolly never meet a person like her again. I have sooo much i'd like to say to her if only I knew. my heart just crushed for her daughters, maud and her sisters.I just keep remembering even the littlest things we did together...the good and bad. our nights out, matching tattoos, twisted tea parties, meat loaf dinner, taco's at her house and Halloween as black and white angels. She was so funny and made everyone laugh. I knew from the first day I met her we would get along good but I didn't know how she would change my life so much. Jessica will be missed by so many....but I know shes in heaven prolly laughing with my dad telling him all our funny stories.

Words cannot begin to convey the impact that Jessica had on our family. She brought a special energy and kindness with her everyday. She exemplified the meaning of caregiver and was constantly going above and beyond to make those around her happy. She loved all those around her like family. On the day of this heart wrenching news, I was sitting at my place of employment in disbelief as I still am not really able to grasp the thought or possibility that our Lord could take someone as special as Jessica. Although not as close to her as some I can remember her smile and laughter in the halls of Ellet High school as we would joke and horse play as most teens do in school. I pray for the family but most of all her daughters whom she has left behind to live out her memory through. Life is short, love hard and love often ~God Bless

Jess - you left us way too soon. There were so many people who did not get the chance to know you and love you. And all of us miss you because of what you did for us, but it was more about how you lit up every room you entered. You made every problem - big or small - seem insignificant. You were so much stronger than we; you had already conquered fears that still cause us to struggle. I was always in awe of your ability to be enthusiastic and upbeat. I so wanted to be more like you in that way. Your heart was immense; immeasurable. Giant. We pray that you are with our Lord and Savior. I'm sure you are one of our Father's favorite daughters. You certainly were one of our favorite people. There is so much we did not get to tell you and share with you. We are at a huge loss, but have great memories of you. God really did bless us with you and that's rare in these times. I can only imagine that you now have your wings. You earned them. Michael and Gabriel must be glad to have you as a fellow angel. Keep an eye on us and help us learn to be more like you. We love you and miss you deeply.
